Who we are
The Western Cape Society of Mediators is a group of like-minded mediators who practise in Western Cape (WC) and who subscribe to the Society’s Constitution and Code of Professional Conduct.
The WC Society of Mediators was officially established in 2025 in order to provide an umbrella body to mediators in the WC, to promote and advance the use of mediation in the settlement of disputes and to ensure that a high standard of mediation in the WC is upheld. The WC Society of Mediators works on the same principles as and is affiliated with the KZN Society of Mediators.

The WC Society of Mediators is a member of the Association of Dispute Resolution Practitioners of South Africa (ADRPSA) which has the support of many mediation organisations in the country, to become the regulatory body for mediation in South Africa.
